Where do you start...

BBC News - Freegan Mark Boyle hosts a feast of foraged food

What Mark Boyle has accomplished here, in my view, is to demonstrate how wasteful we are. It is the most we can take away from Marks efforts. In practical terms we all and not even half the population, cannot live this life style.

For starters, where would the solar-powered laptop and WiFi, that Mark uses, plus all the food and other items come from? Where would the taxes come from to pay for and maintain the infrastructure Mark is using? All these things are not free.

"Freeconomists" say their way of life is helping to save the planet from climate change and pollution. I don't agree fully with that statement. They may not be contributing as heavily to carbon output as most of us, but they still do depend on status quo to live the free life.
